ALUMNI HEARTS OF SERVICE - Fr. Drew Larkin, Class of 2000
Fr Drew Larkin is the Parochial Vicar at the Roman Catholic Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Savannah, GA.
Fr. Drew’s journey to a life in service of others as a Catholic priest was not a direct one. A 2008 graduate of the University of Georgia, he was working in the business world for a number of years before he felt a calling to the priesthood.
He contacted the vocations director for the Diocese of Savannah, and soon was given the unique opportunity to study at the Pontifical North American College which serves as the American seminary in Rome, Italy. He Catholic upbringing, including serving as an altar boy from fourth grade until he graduated high school, helped foster a sense of peace in his heart as he began to study at the seminary. In 2016 he was ordained to the transitional diaconate, a step before priesthood, in the Papal Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican. In 2018 he was ordained to the priesthood in Savannah. by Bishop Gregor J. Hartmayer, OFM and in 2019 he went on to study Canon Law at Catholic University of America in Washington DC.
We love our alumni and their hearts of service.
